An ex premiership player who is about to play in the Ryman Premier. That tells you how good he must be!

Chances are he was probably looking a little higher, but was timed out by the transfer window. But he could turn out to be a real gem.

You can't beat quality if that is what he has got.

s above, post, is the balance correct.

We do seem to have lots of attackers and (for a change which is good)midfield players, but only Oates, green,Edwards and Kola as proper defenders.

Add JK ad you have 5 .

We seem both short of numbers and quality in defence, and with 3 out of 4 goals conceded through headers, i think we all know that the defence can't defend high balls for toffee.,depite looking more orgnised on the ground

MM,with respect the defence is doing fine. Agree the arial dominance may be slightly lacking but I feel it is in midfield that we are lacking most. We now have the forwards so we need a couple of midfielders that will get stuck in and move up and down the park at a moments notice to both help out the defence and support the attack to keep momentum going.Am not sure that the midfield we have at present is mobile enough.Gradley,o.k. Deen a great one for doing both but no-one else. Maybe Ryan will be that person to do both those jobs as reports state that he likes to get involved.Or even Corbett for that matter.

Fill those empty spaces in midfield and prevent the opposition from running riot in that area and stop them playing the ball around with ease,as has been of late and maybe THEN we will have that all round team we have been striving for.

Deen,s performance in keeping quiet griffiths(leading to him being taken off) on tuesday night was has good as i have seen since Sam the Man.It was nice to see Greg Oates back to Skinning opponents again.I agree with Cookie, the defence is doing ok.As for the equiliser,It was a goal from the moment the ball was played to the guy on the right in fishers half. The four of us standing together saw it and said nearly in unison "here we go", just for those few seconds the Gate guys took a breather and it was enough to let them in.Such was the intensity of the game.

I fail to see your point MM. Quality or quantity it dosent take away the fact that the defence is doing fine at the moment.I feel more confident about that than I have for a long time. Obviously one day we will let a few goals in,in one match,(though I hope not) and then you will be telling us about the flagging defense again. But at the moment I dont feel that that is the area that needs improving & that we are looking for. Its the middle of the park that needs plugging. If that happens then maybe the defense will leak a few more goals but at the same it is possible and more than likely that we could prevent the opposing team from displaying their passing skills in that area, skills they probably dont have to start with and at the same time the team could mount more sustained pressure on the oppositions defence.
