The game tonight was good,Fisher had more of the ball midfield but Margate had the better chances with 10mins to go I belive it was remy missed one on one and blasted it over the bar,Charlie had a great game and Bertie was outstanding,all in all a good night,810 att;

think everyone will agree with me apart from 1st 20mins , that was some of the best football seen by our MARGATE team for a long time , our new strike force could be a reel winner once this team have gelled togther .I think CK is slowly but shawly doing what we no he can do .Fantastic crowd again 812 great 4 the gate , roll on saturday. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Bertie a real gem. Just cannot see us keeping him but if we can then goals are-a-plenty for the future from this young man.Different class. Equally on the night I agree Charlie was outstanding in goal. I also agree that a draw was my hunch & hope at the start. Fisher very good passing side but I have to say again that we have to plug that gap in midfield. Do that and we can win games instead of drawing them. Still all playing too deep and not supporting front men quickly enough to punish opposition.

However it was a very very good point and shame about Remmy's miss at the death. He had two options.Head back, highover the bar.Should have been the winning goal.

Good crowd and all happy with the point. Somehow I feel that Fisher will be the dissappointed ones tonight. A little better finishing by them and we could have been done & dusted by half-time but we hung in there and got a very valuable point and the team are beginning to gel a bit more..Just hope we can keep some of these guys.

One of the new players turned up but got a message that his wife had gone into labour so he had to rush off.

A satisfactory result with some good things coming out of it for the future. A well earned point indeed.

I feel that the saves their keeper made were made easier by our lads shooting straight at him. Mitten was by far the better keeper on the night. Shame about the looping header over his head though. That goal came from a vacant midfield,then passed out to the wing and a long high cross to the far post where Watts took it very well indeed.It was a soft goal to give away but nonetheless a good goal what with the passing movements leading up to it.
