Well I wasn't going to mention it but......

 

Think he's a decent player - seem to remember he's strong in the tackle and has a bit of pace. Will be interesting to see if he plays on Saturday and who he replaces. He wasn't involved in C*nv*y's FA cup game on sat so he isn't cup-tied and has been registered in plenty of time to face Braintree in the next round.....

did we need this new signing? Rantala hasnt had a kick all season (just one appearence from the bench?) and even when Dave Mc was injured we had willo coming in at right back leaving Rantala still on the bench. Are we now going to have our latest signing sitting next to juho? so do you all think this could be the end of rantala as in my opinion he is too good for the role of a sub, he is a better player than Penn but the managment must think this new player to be a worthy purchase. One of them is going to get very fed up with sitting on the bench.

I think that Adedeji will give us better cover for Mooro - when Rantala and Penn played together at centre back against Enfield Town pre season they looked a little lightweight. He is also (if memory serves) quicker than any of the current centre backs and where we've had problems - Maidenhead and Yeading for 2 examples - it has been against pace. We do have a bigger squad than previously now, so a few players are going to be unhappy sitting in the stands.

i think it was the sight of russell getting murdered by a division one north (bottom half) striker time after time last saturday that has pre empted this move. having said that however i would be a bit miffed if i was part of a defence that has let in only 5 goals in 13 games and was replaced by a new signing. and as has been pointed out i agree that rantala is a good player as well. therefore it comes down again to the issue of having "strength in depth" versus people getting the hump about not playing every week. my personal view is that this is an unnecessary signing especially if it upsets mark graham but of course i still wish ollie every success in his town career.
