Sky coverage

Or rather the lack of coverage ,in our case, I see that Woking v Grays is being televised!!

Nothing to do with Martyn Tyler of course, and how come Grays in only their first season in the top division of the Conference,manages to get some TV exposure,while we in our third season are still waiting for our share.

Nice to see even handedness by Sky, it's just so bloody galling <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Makes me glad I don't subscribe but I understand it must be galling if you can't easily get to games.

Well, Grays are currently 2nd in the League, which makes them a good candidate for coverage - no good reason to cover Woking though, based on current league position and their poor form at present.

I just dumped Sky and went to Telewest, who have given me all the football free this season, including Premiership Plus.

 

That was nice of them.

I have Telewest. It's good apart from Sky Sport's Premiership "Match Choice" where you "press the red button" and select your match and can watch them all in succession if you really want to. On Telewest you can't do that - you just get whatever match they put on at 10:25pm and it gets repeated all night long.

 

There's a few other things you can't do, mainly involving the red button. So you don't get the hyperactive fans on Fanzone and the Sky News multi-screen option.

To be honest my original gripe wasn't because I want to see the boys on TV, though would be brilliant,it's the income for the club that i'm really looking at,it just seems very unfair that only a handful of clubs get selected.

It's all down to the facilities for mounting cameras etc and ours are not considered adequate

Watch how quickly they become adequate if we are drawn at home against Manure in the FA cup.

 

Also I think you will find that when we are playing away our facilities are as good as everyone elses.

They were good enough for Notts Co in the cup - should be good enough for Woking at home in the league.

Just watched the last 15 minutes of Kiddy v Canvey-poor old Canvey (not!)-blew it again-penalty to go 2-1 up on 87 minutes,yet still they concede their own get their keeper sent off and then give another away through poor defending in the last minute or so.

 

Canvey looked as though they were playing some neat stuff before thelate goals,and I wasn't over impressed with Kiddy in that period,albeit they still got the 3 points.

 

I see Cambridge lost again tonight, 1-0 to York and Grays are 1-1 at Forest Green after a 30 minute delay due to power failure at FGR.

Grays won 2-1 and are now top of the League.

Works the same with Sky though & all those new customers getting free boxes, free installation & free sky sports.

I paid for everything & got nothing free in exchange (having had sky digital from day 1), so it was time to give Sky the elbow!

Indeed, how wrong they were. Just about proves that in this league anyone can beat anyone. For entertainment value we put the Premeirship to shame.
