I remember Danny Kendall being found dead in Mr Bronson's motor.

That was in the 1989 series that Danny Kendall died.

 

I reckon Grange Hill going crap coincided with the new theme tune, which was 1990. Which was when Ziggy and Gonch and Ronnie Birtles etc. left.

 

So 1989 was the last quality season!

i guess i stopped watching it in 83, when i started work..

i thought it got crap when tucker alan and benny left.. though gripper was a good chracter.. im afraid the likes of pongo zammo etc just didnt cut it

ish.. they were all fairly ropey in the early days.. the bird who was michelle in east enders was the rebel bird to begin with , and there was some blonde chubby one who had the best bangers..

bad behaviour was obviously pushing otherkids into the pool, a bit of low level bullying and a fight or two.oh and the realhardcore stuff was nicking some sweets from the shops..

i guess now half the fifth year are pregnant, hooked or drugs have one or no parents and constant councilling

I once interviewed someone from Grange Hill, Lucy was her name (can't remember her surname) and she left in about 1996/97.
