Aaah. A XXX American style beer = Watery beer in UK. Just wanted to get my facts straight.

I only drink, Newcastle Brown Ale or Bishops Finger or Spitfire or Some of Kents other fine ales. As for bud being the king of beers, yeah right. Tastes like tea to me. Give me a proper ale any day.

You are right Mole, an American pint is smaller. British pint = 20 fluid ounces

American pint = 16 fluid ounces

You said that their pint glass is different from our pint glass. If they are both pint glasses they can't be different.

I was just clarifying Moles post. If wanted to be pedantic i would have pointed out very few people here drink out of glasses, especially not pint glasses!

Tell me about it! I remember the last time I visited the US. I asked for a pint of beer and got a rather blank look from the barman. "We've got bottles" he replied. So I said "okay give me two bottles then". I sat down at the table and got two bottles of beer and (yep) two small glasses.
