Scarboro fan

I am dragging a norwich city fan to the scarboro match under the pretense that I will get us to a pub with Sky for his lot v Leicester 5.30 KO. Anywhere nearby?

Any pubs nearby(regardless of Sky)for before match as well please.

Cheers.

For a quiet drink with decent beer, before the game, The Rose always gets good press from visiting fans. If you go back up the hill, on the opposite side of the road from the main turnstiles, it’s just down a right turn. (Think this is signposted: Railway St, leading to Rose Walk.) Look out for the kebab shop. It’s not the turning right on top of this, but the very next one, as the hill starts to flatten out.

There’s also The Plough, which is in Stonebridge Road, right on top of the main turnstiles. This had Sky last time I was in there & may be screening your mate’s game. Best to check with them first. (01474 567322)

Hope you enjoy your day, if not the result, of the ‘real’ game. I have very happy memories of Scarborough (and its pubs.)

I can confirm that the Plough does indeed have Sky and will be screening the game. They have a huge screen TV in the comfortable lounge bar. Well worth a visit. Just tell Dave and Penny I sent you and I may get a free pint out of it!

And I trust that you will then put the price of that pint into the Fleet's coffers!
