The Gillingham-haters will be glad to know that former-Fleet "player" Ryan Peters has scored for Brentford against Gillingham.

A bit of a shame we never really saw what he could do when he was on loan with us.

Having been away on our hols we missed the Canvey and Cambridge games. The last game we saw was our annihilation at Grays, after which we felt it was going to be a long hard slog, with little to look forward to this season. How wrong we were.

Whilst away we still watched the results coming in on a Saturday afternoon. Bought the NLP to read the 'write ups', and even managed to log on, when we could get a signal, to Fans Focus thanks to Lil' Red Neck's lap top and an iffy 'hot spot'. Things still sounded shaky, but were improving.

So to our glorious return to the Kingfield Stadium. Woking have always been one of those sides we should beat, but don't always do our best against, but what an improvement. A solid back four, an attacking/passing midfield and a speedy strike force, what a difference a fortnight makes. We played as a team and took advantage of Wokings weaknesses, and something I've not seen us do before, we stayed on our feet. Except for the most 'crunching' of tackles, we stayed on our feet, giving us the added oppurtunity to pass or play our way out of a challenge, it was wonderful to watch. Great entertainment, glorious weather, perfect result.

The beautiful game? You bet your boots!
