Todays game v HAMPTON

Shocking first half - worst we have played for a very long time. Could quite easily have been five or six. Second half I thought we battled back well and had some of the best fluidity we have seen this season but it was not exactly the Alamo in the second half and they seemed to hold on fairly comfortably.

 

The difference Chopper made was immense. I maintain despite the fact that some will think I am deluded that once Chopper and Leigh Mason are more involved and Ballard gets back in the side we will improve. We have also played four teams who I have predicted will finish in the top 8 - hardly results to be ashamed of.

 

See you all there to SUPPORT the boys on Saturday.

Yes, yesterdays performance was poor and yes we have had a tough start to the season but four weeks ago we didn't know if we'd be starting the season, so lets put all of this behind us and get behind the lads on saturday.

Vocal support for the team was very, very quiet on Monday even when we'd scored the second. Daly did pass comment in the first half when some noise was coming out from the visiting support that "they've found their voice again", so it doesn't go un-noticed by the players.

 

They need the support especially when we have a mare like we did in the first half, so we can do our bit vocally as well and every voice helps. You don't need to start the singing off, but please, please join in.

Sorry but I do think if we are not winning we do clam up quite a bit. I noticed it at Billericay in the second half. Mind you I'm not offering to lead but I will join in.

Keep trying Marcus. In BFR's absence, someone has a rather large void to fill. Would be good if it wasn't left on his shoulders alone to start things off.

Glad we were much better in the second half..showed some blood and guts...to get back into a match where we should have been dead and buried by half time..more of our own doing - than the top of the league team (Hampton) !! playing outstanding football...In fact Hampton was hanging on in the end ! time wasting and making substitutions etc etc... The ref could have only added on 3 or 4 mins at the most ! when Hampton had wasted far more...If only Ian had scored with one of the 2 glorious chances ...Devonshire would have had egg on his face once more ! what a nice bloke...I don't think so...so easy to get him going....LOL...part and parcel of the game...and fun too....
