Certainly shocked, Grimlock. By the level of criticism from certain quarters of the Slough "fan"base. Are you criticising the players, the management, the club owners or just the other Slough fans who, of course, like every other fan in the country, enters each game - indeed, each new season - with a substantial level of optimism?

First half we pretty much imploded and did nothing to create any chances. 2nd half we completely changed when Harris was brought on for Alexis with 2 goals in quick succession and were pushing for an equaliser towards the end of the game.

 

Shame really if it wasnt for the first half performance we could have come out with a win. Hopefully it will also show that Harris needs to start for us to create any real chances.

Shocking first half 'performance' and missed their fisrt two as I was stuck in traffic, which was a good thing.

 

As Tom says Chopper on for Alexis, who was awful today and that changed the game. Seedel pulled one back and then Hodgey made it 3-2. Hodgey had two futher chances, one a header just wide and the next he was just beaten to the ball by Matt Lovett.

 

Would like to congratulate Hampton on winning the Ryman League for this season - Devonshire was a clearly delighted at the end going by his celebrations. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

 

On the plus side - great travelling numbers, I think easy 150 - just a shame we are missing BFR's voice at the moment.

In the first half only one player could walk off with any sort of credit and that was Wilko. The remaining ten were shocking but especially Alexis, Paget and Brooks.

 

The difference in the second half was not that we played any better, just our attitude wasn't quite as bad as the first half but, to be honest, it couldn't have been. You can accept bad performances but not bad attitudes. Some people will say we were unlucky not to snatch a point. In reality we were lucky we didn't go in five goals down and got far more out of this game than we really deserved.

hi there all i thought the first half was so bad several times i nearly walked into the bar for some alcerhole as deflaited and no hope. we rearly could and should have been 0-5 or so down at half time. but feel how we somehow turned it around and oh so very nearly pulled the rabit out of the hat and devinshire gets the points again. lets hope we can bury the ball in the net and take it out on braintree and redbridge and just make sure we get the pionts and stay up. alothough i would say no to a little cup run but rather finish well above the mire we are in at the moment and keep the cup on the back burner of a very anxious looking season and we may well struggle this season unless we we put more chances away and put more into the games. we have been allways caperbale of getting games back and after today we can prove that we can do it and have done time and tim e again.

The first half was the worst performance so far this season. Much better when chopper came on, people seemed to want the ball, rather than giving up. The classic error(s) were from the corner that Michael scuffed, 3 or 4 passes later, Hampton scored.

 

God knows what was said to them at half time, but it seemed to work. There was only one team out there in the first half, and it wasn't us.

 

Let's hope that the second half performance can get some much needed confidence back in the team, ready for 1pm Saturday.
