CK-'not satisfied'

I see this is reported as CK's post match comments and i take that as a positive.

I'm sure the team will improve, but so will other teams.

Realistically ,can we expect much better than current results from current team.

I'm sure the players, board ,manager and supporters all want to do better.

However, when you look at the quality of the current assembled squad, can we realistically expect much better?

Is the team underperforming-probably not in my opinion, since the squad as assembled is not that brilliant ,and there is not the quality there to do much better.

I'm not panicking ,as i never had great hopes for on pitch success this season(you always hope)as long as we don't flirt with relegation again.

Is Chris correct to say he is 'not satisfied? Can the current quality of squad do much better?

Frankly i suspect not.

That is not a critcism, purely a bit of a reality check and the way i see it.

We are probably mid table at best, unless the quality of players is dramatically improved.

I guess the way to do that, is to turn out at HDP to bring some fresh revenue into club,or if we are afar, support in other ways by golden gate etc etc.

Maybe MISA could start a seperate fund that is donated to club that is to be specifically used for team strengthening

Listening to CK on radio kent he only just stopped short of saying that the team were crap. What we have to understand is we are three games into the developement of what in reality is a new team/club. We have some advantages over other new clubs in that we have a GREAT fan base, a handfull of experienced players from the old club, a new board who are learning with guidance from the experienced few from the old board,we have a great new,if only temporary ground, and a supporters club who have been working hard to get the club house up and running and through this help finance the clubs future. As for the new team i will start to worry in a months time if the performances do not improve. This week the transfer window for teams from the abomination that is the premiership through to the national conference closes. All the players who have failed to gain a place with these clubs will panic and tumble down to our level. Who will pick them up,I think the wimbledons and fishers of this world have pretty well full squads. lets hope the GAAAATE can use CK's considerable name in and knowledge of the game to its advantage. We has supporters need to show solidarity and continue to turn out through what hopefully won't but may well turn out to be a trying period. The club needs the team to put on a good performane against Redbridge to keep the new and casual supporters coming back.Onwards and Upwards.

I do not think they need a kick up the a**e.Imo they are all doing their best,it is not their fault if far too much is expected of them, and they are not quite good enough.Postings that criticise them are not going to help at all.We must all be patient and support, this season will probably be more difficult than last season, because of what is expected of the Club and the team.IT IS GOING TO TAKE A LONG TIME !!!!

I think the top two posts from BB and i,plus above anom.post are saying similar things.

The team are not world beaters but should hold their own at this level and hopefully finish mid table.

The quality is not currently there to do better than that, so maybe CK was a bit unfair in his gaurded criticism-it is his assembled squad afterall, albeit with i guess some financial handicaps but the same applies to most if not all the teams in this league(staines for example)

To build a better squad needs more money, but a fair bit of money will have to be diverted to pay off the CVA each month.

Getting it accepted is one thing ,but you still have to pay it off.

We are what we are, and main thing is we are still here.

All we can do is support wherever and whatever way we can,be patient and hope that CK and KR can provide quality of coaching and organisation to turn the assembled squad into a good good team.

Maybe the players in turn have got the hunger and energy to succeed that will also be worth a few extra points

Knowing a little ofthe ambitions of the club from the board to ck,kr and jk,i will be very suprised,no dissapointed if we are not involved in anything less than the play offs at the end of the season. This is the very limit of what i believe is acceptable and neccasary to keep interest in the gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate buzzing.

I do hope you are right BB.

My own realistic ambitions this season are somewhat less.

What i find a bit difficult is how the current batch of signings-Kola and Deen excepted-are commensurate with such ambitions.

Supposedly its 'early days' , but equally in two weeks ,one seventh of of league games have gone and early points are as crucial as 'late points-they all have same value.

Again, that is not a criticism of other signings, but purely thay imo, with squad as assembled, it is mid-tablish and no better, but personally i could live with that this season
