W.V.N I'm tired of talking to you about this, Daish was in the bar yesterday after the game. Why didn't you go up to him and ask him why he didn't buy a striker? The chairman was with him and you could have asked him the same question.

For christ sake get rid of those rose tinted glasses and get real.

I do not and have never gone into the bar after matches, as I also have a life outside of Stonebridge Road.

Daish has already made it very clear that he is not interested about what is said on websites, it would therefore be very unlikley that he would be interested on the opinions of any club supporter that contradicts the 'club line'. Do you think he would admit to any failing with regard to any of the players he has signed or on those that he may have missed out on.

Lastly, if you are tired of responding to my posts than the obvious answer is quite simply, don't!

As I am, no doubt, considered to be one of the anti-Daish brigade. I would like to make the following comments:-

Firstly, I have never said that I wanted to see Daish out. The club has made the decision to appoint him but just because he has got the job it does not mean that he cannot be criticised or that supporters cannot question his decisions etc. Quite simply, in my opinion, he should never have been given the job in the first place. It was/is my view that he was the wrong man for the job when appointed and nothing I have seen, heard, or read on this forum has changed that view. (and before the question/comment is made about Andy Ford, yes I do think it was time for him to go).

Secondly, I have been most vociferous about Daish's inability to bring-in the striker/target man that just about everybody (including Daish himself I might add) acknowledges the team needs. The club commented that one of the reasons as to why Daish was given the job, in the first place, was because of his contacts within the game. If true, he should have had no problem bringing in the right player. Why tell supporters that he was about to sign a premiership player on loan, if the deal hadn't been done, why moan about other clubs wanting "silly money" for players if you try to sign them 48 hours before the transfer window closes. If Alex Revell was indeed the striker that Daish wanted to sign why leave it to the last minute?

As usual the club have 'leaked-out' details of players they wanted to/or were about to sign and then.........nothing. Is it therefore not surprising that supporters get frustrated and annoyed.

Thirdly, yes I have questioned a number of the signings that he has made, particularly Aaron Kerr. I also think that now he has played a number of games many of you, if honest, would probably agree with my earlier comments about not being "up to the task". Is it not strange that the clubs performances on the field have improved since Daish was forced to bring in a goalkeeper with ability and one that the rest of the defence has confidence?

And lastly, I have been labelled a "doom and gloom merchant". If being realistic, honest and caring about the club that you have followed for the best part of 40 years is "doom and gloom" then so be it. Hence my new avatar.

Actually, that job's normally left to some of our somewhat over-eager supporters.

Who would you have preferred, then?

Since you, like I, do not know the full list of applicants for the job, it's nigh-on impossible to say whether Liam was the best man for the job or not.
