In fairness, whilst we were maybe expecting (unfairly maybe) more Wimbledon fans, I thought the Slough turnout could have been better.

That was all i was implying

We played well in patches but never threatened the goal as said by so many others. For me Brooks isn't working on the left and I am not a fan of Alexis on the right. 'Ruffe, Ruffe' was my MOTM closely followed by Mets. My 11 for Monday would be with a 3-5-2 formation;

GK Parkin

CB Daly. S

CB Avery (although I'm not sure about him yet either)

CB Paget (his ability to win headers despite his height says he should be covering till Ballard's back)

RWB Carbon

LWB Woodruffe (on todays performance we need his threat further forward)

CM Metcalfe

CM Wilkinson

CM Harris

CF Hodges

CF Seedel

Subs

Brooks

Alexis

Shepherd

Miller

Lovegrove

No student prices. Im sure that put a few younger fans of coming. Maybe we didn't impress you, but we didn't need to be at our best today! 3 wins out of 3. Top of the league, can't be doing that much wrong? I don't think too highly of Slough.

Not surprising you didn't think much of us - we are missing key players and will be much, much better when they're playing. My point was that I think Wimbledon will be caught out by many teams in this league, but still probably finish in the top 5.

Rob, you must realise that when you make comments like that you are making yourself out to be an arrogant and ignorant fool. Your club has not been around long, however in your short time all you have known is success and maybe that is the reason you have a chip on your shoulder, or maybe you think you don’t belong in non league, whatever it is your attitude stinks!

If we wanted to support a club with tens of thousands of fans then we all could, we do have several league clubs on our door step, however we don’t!

Before today I always thought you attracted unfair criticism from other clubs, however with people like and anonymous aloud to represent your club I am not so sure. I don’t believe you are all the same as some of you must live in reality but for your own sake you have got to change your attitude fast!

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Total agree with Radders post about the team for Mondays match. I think Paget from what I've seen of him play which is only todays match and against Billericy he seems to be a player that can win headers and actually clear our defence - he just needs one or two games to fit into the team more.

With the way the team is at the moment, we are clearly wasting Jay's ability to go forward and take players on. Alexis isnt quite ready for me too. He can play well at times, but his final ball and especially corners from which I think only on one occasion has gone past the 1st man needs improving on.

Unfortuately I dont see much improvement until Ballard, Mason and Harris are starting.

Some right twats on here by the look of it (of an AFCW persuasion unfortunately). I agree with Matt that we are going to find it tough against the likes of Fisher/Billericay/Heybridge. Most sensible AFCW fans only expect us to be challenging for the play-off slots anyway, i'll be happy with that. Having seen the 3 games so far, I think we are likely to be top half and maybe top 5 finish. I thought you had a fair amount of possession today but didn't really threaten where it matters. Having said that we didn't have many other chances that I can remember. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I think we were unlucky to lose and that could quite easily have been our second nil nil of the season.

Not overly impressed with the attendance - I doubt the timing of the game or the fact that the roads were screwed helped in that regard.

Slough turnout was not great but we will be the only ones in this league who will take 100 plus to the reverse fixture.

I think we do need to go back to 3-5-2 so that Josias and Woody can play as wing backs as they do look our most creative force at the moment.

avery needs to learn how to put his foot through the ball to clear instead of trying to skill his marker in our own box!

was impressed with alexis for some of the game then he seemed to lose it, but woodruffe was great all the time he was on, should definately have bought off alexis not woodruffe.

paget did well when he came on, and im not sure about brooks on the left hand side, i thought he was a striker???

I don't really need to add more to my posting..with replies like that from anon and so called football know alls, they just confirm what I had said !!!

Just for your note : STSA/STST had supported your fight against Franchise ! at all the FSF meetings and had tried to ensure that this never happens to another club !

But you can have bitter things to say about a club like Slough that has gone through more than yourselves ....expelled from the conference lost its ground , force to play out of its borough and has no huge support like yourselves !

Yet still have the will to carry on regardless, and support our team what ever on a much less fan base and support...

I would rather be a Rebel than a Womble ! anytime....

cheers Chris S.

One of your supporter said ! glad we did not come here last year to this dump ! (poor Windsor) and they can stick there DVD's up their ******

a big case of sour grapes...I guess...

Dom, that's better someone who I can argue with.

Avery had a mare today which started when he gave away the first goal and ended when he was lucky not to be sent off for a disgusting tackle he was forced to make having given the ball away again. The man needs to learn how to boot the ball when it is necessary. Look at their back two, the 4 and 5, when they got in trouble they lumped it clear, which might not be pretty but is what is going to be needed a lot this season. When Ballard is fit I would expect him to go into a back 3 with one of Paget, Avery or Lovegrove. At the moment Paget is winning the battle for me as he is for others I have spoken to.

Right, next challenger, please step up to the plate!!!!!

Despite my belief that he IS a good player, Radders, I agree that Alexis was ineffective today. Avery, however, was excellent today and gave a very Saulbury-esque performance.

Unfortunately, Radders, your credibility to spot a good player is blown to pieces by your insistence for the last two years that Spence was our best player.

BRING IT ON! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />
