Today's game

The 2-0 scoreline in the end wasnt a complete fair reflection of the game. All the way through the match we had good spells of possession but once again we could not produce anything with it - nobody wants to shoot unless we are in the 6 yard area!

we never put any pressure on the keeper, he was too confident, we should have knocked him over a few times to let him know it wasnt going to be easy and knock his confidence

good spells of possesion by the rebels, we certainly didnt deserve to lose in my opinion cos afc hardly did anything apart from the goals and a few other chances

now all we need to do is learn to score once weve done all the fancy passing!

Thought we played well in patches. But need someone who's prepared to shoot. Shame Seedal's bounding header didn't go early on, might have changed the game.

Thought AFC were fortunate - 2-0 flattered them.

How can you score when they put 11 behind the ball, and use the break-away tactic?

Impressed by Woodruffe - started to show some class before he was substitued. Also thought Josh Miller looked useful when he came on.

Anyone suggestions for a prize for the first player to hit Gary on his lofty perch? Needs to be something appropriate for a shot that will have to be well off target!

well my first match of the season..and got to say some promise, for Slough...its very early days and the team still trying to find a new rythm and new way of playing...and Wimbledon thought they could walk on water ! well Slough put up a spirted fight and at times took the game to them, thus when they hit us for the second goal, Slough had pushed forward in search of the equalizer..a sucker punch ! the previous 20 mins Slough were un lucky not to get a touch on one of those tantlizing cross the area balls !

What has happened to the non league spirit from some of the Wimbledon fans ? foul and abussive language and plenty of blokes drunk at the end of the match ! and urinating in the streets !! and walking down the street with pints in their hands ! (I know its a few but a word should be said this is not the expected behaviour in the non league world) or do they think they are too good for us ? and have a divine right to be back in the Football league ?

Anyhow Keep your heads up Slough...its time to knuckle in and support our team...its going to be a hard season..but we will be with you...

up the rebels....

I thought we were poor today, and this probably won't change until Ballard, Harris and Mason are all playing from the start. The midfield looked disjointed, although Metcalfe and Woodruffe had good games. Brooks looks lost on the left, and Hodges and Seedel will be frustrated at the lask of service they recieved. We conceded sloppy goals, especially the first, which should have been cleared properly after the ball hit the bar.

AFC Wimbledon come with a reputation for tearing teams apart and running away with whichever league they're in, but they didn't impress me that much today. They were better and more clinical than us on the day but will find it a lot tougher this season against the likes of Billericay amongst others. I wasn't impressed by a handful of the AFC fans either.

As France proved in 1998 it's more important to have a good defence than attack. They'll beat a lot of teams this season just by playing on the break and keeping it tight at the back. I thought we outplayed them for long periods but couldn't find that killer final ball.

Today hasn't changed my opinion of either their team or some of their supporters, neither of which was very high to start with!

2nd goal came almost straight from a poorly taken short corner by us, as a quick counter attack led to a loppy (lucky) header going over the advancing Parkin. They looked good but not as good as i thought they would also a disappointing attendence of 1,400 ish!
