Expectations For This Weekend

Top of the table on Saturday, second place on Monday. Will be happy with two points from two very difficult matches. Let's hope the lads can put in two sterling performances, win, lose or draw.

Yes they are top of the league, but were quite capable of beating both as we proved last season.

Hmm, would think we'll have a much tougher time from both this season given the changes in personnel, particularly on our side.

Only missing 4 players from the hampton starting line up the in final, and Spence aint much of a loss in my opinion...

 

Yes we have lost Murphy, but I think we have the players to cover for him. Only ones I think we miss are Sauls and Murph1. We have not lost that much...

Chopper is back so we have a little more attacking capability and, importabtly, creativity. AFC might have won their first two games but one was against Folkestone (disrespect intended!) and the other was Maldon who may be rubbish for all we know.

 

I know it's a different game to last season but in that one I thought we payed them far too much respect and let them get into a comfortable position. Once Eddie had a few words at half time and we decided we were as good as them, we were awesome. There's no need for us to fear them.

 

We also have the added advantage of having played in front of a few big crowds last year so that shouldn't affect us as much as it will do some teams in our league this season when playing AFC.

 

As for Hampton, I'm looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with Mr Lovett! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

When we played them in the Bryco cup I thought they were very vocal. They had one person who stood at the front of them orchestrating the songs and only stopping now and again to take a swig from his vodka bottle! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" />

yep ill be there this time i hope - i was there for the second half on tuesday, just not right in with you guys, was with my mates they werent too keen on standing at the ends!
