can anyone tell me if there is a bus (and no.) which leaves from windsor & eton riverside stn. or nearby that goes near the ground.

Best to get a taxi from Windsor and Eton Riverside

as its a bit of a walk -about 2 miles-cab

should be about 4 to 5 quid

There are buses - jump on any you see going to legoland, but they ain't that regular.

Usually takes me 25 minutes to walk from station - go towards the castle, then down Peascod Street (the main shopping street, walking the whole length and beyond for about 10 minutes then towards the hospital on the left and past the army barricks on the right. Walk for another 6-7 minutes, ground opposite the Stag pub.

Thanks for the information. I'm really looking forward to this one as you sounded good from reports of last year's game. I reckon I will walk it from the station as I haven't been to windsor in years and fancy a nose round. Any interesting pubs on the way?

Windsor has been doing its best to destroy many of its decent pubs over the years, turning them into poncy wine bars and restuarants...some of the ones at the bottom of peascod street still have some character, if you fancy a half-way there beer.The Stag is where the majority of people will be drinking.
