REDBRIDGE PREVIEW PLEASE

An early preview of the bank Hol game would of greater interest than that of the Harrow Boro game as more MFC fans will be at Hartsdown on Monday than Earlsmead on Saturday.

The website is put together by volunteers who don't always have a great deal of time on their hands. However, if you are so desperate for a preview of the Redbridge game, here is mine...

"Redbridge have a crap ground and no fans and have lost their first two games of the season, 3-1 at Fisher and 3-2 at home to Wealdstone.

They were relegated with us from Conference South last season. We beat them 2-0 at Homelands, but lost 2-1 at their ground (which they share with Barkingside) earlier in the campaign.

I think their team still includes Graeme Carrick (brother of Spurs' Michael) and ex-West Ham player Keith Rowlands. They are managed by former Gillingham keeper Jim Stannard.

This is a game we should be looking to win."

There.

Please note that Graeme Carrick is not at the club anymore. Keith Rowland is still there however, but mostly as 1st team coach. We may have a poorish ground and few fans but that wont stop the spirit of the young team we have here being very high. Although losing our 1st 2 games is a major disappointment to everyone involved, we totally outplayed Fisher (title favourties) for 80% of the game and with slightly better finishing, could have easily won the game by 2-3 goals. Do not judge us on 2 games, judge us after 42. I am putting my head on the line to say we will come to your place confident of getting a result. What will be the attendance roughly do you think??

Although the ground is temporary until we get our shiny new stadium, RFC, it is very good compared with some of the grounds we were both playing in last year.

You will be impressed, I think, with the pitch, which is an absolutely beautiful playing surface.

I hope you enjoy your trip down. Latest weather forecast is warm, a bit humid, variable cloud cover, temperatures in the mid 20's.

Really looking forward to it.
