That was only an aside...

 

CK is a great manager, no doubt about it. Hes a nice character and very approachable. He has been able to get players who can play properly and arent a waste of time and effort. he knows a good player when he sees one. Hes shown dedication to the club. He could so easily have said "screw you Margate FC, Im going elsewhere" (would anyone have blamed him for doing that?) but instead he decided to ride the storm. That deserves a LOT of respect.

That's because we get some juveniles occasionally GF, not to mention some rather dubious anonymous chaps. You just have to learn to filter the pearls from the effluent, so to speak.

I think there is some good news in today's statement from the club. The club reiterates CK's search for players and if previous seasons are anything to go by, there will be decent players available for a month yet. I'm still optimistic - particulalry if we can get some good form behind us at home - a luxury we have not had for 3 years! We shouldn't underestimate what that could do for us.

Do you think we will see any new guys on Saturday? I was working out how many we have in the squad with subs, and reckon we are going to be a bit lightweight if we get injuries. I know a couple of the lads took knocks on Tuesday, let's hope they are OK.

CK certainly has an eye for a decent player, I look forward to seeing what he can pull out of the hat for us this time. I loved to watch all of the above play for us. Here's to the ones I have yet to see.
