What more do you want me to do?

Ease up old boy, I'm not having a go, I wasn't even there, I just wondered what the circumstances were, given the original post on the subject! I know our stewarding is of Football League standard and is one of the many things we can be proud of at our club.

Now, all this talk of strikers not striking and defensive lapses and what not - forget it. I now learn that Chopper is up to his tricks again and has turned out in various polychromatic kits. Clearly this is the cause of all problems - remember the orange fiasco (including the socks) a couple of seasons ago? If memmory serves I called for the dismissal of this kit to the bin, and when eventually this happened and Chopper reverted to a proper green kit, other things on the field started to go our way.

Chopper, you know what you have to do!

No problem on the kits so far, Chopper. I liked the red - do you think you could get away with it for an away game? After all Tony Tucker was wearing a blue shirt that was very similar to the rest of the Barking team.

Wouldn't you like a replica of that one then Thomas?.

Chopper, not happy with the plethora of shirts you have this season. My 10 year old geezer already has a green one on order from Arky, now he wants a red one as well after last night. Give it a rest please. You know it makes sense. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Stick to the Green PV, at least he'll look like a keeper & not a clown!!!.

Two points

1. Georgdie did have a ok game. I think his main use is for headers. The problem is his pace, as I feel Adam Gant had to cover back a few times for him. I think we need to use Steve Baldwin instead with Adam, as I think that is a more even partnership.

2. I would like to say thankyou to the stewards as I feel the role is not mentioned enough. However, 1 little nag is that people do stand in front of the stand. I do not mean to be rude, but the times that stewards just walk by is awkward.

Argh, I made the mistake of sitting in the Mainstand last night in front of Beardsley. There's only so many times you can take a supporter celebrating a corner! Top bloke, always manage to see him at every single game.

Did anyone else think the crowd was quite below average last night, considering we actually had away supporters? I was expecting a nice round 400+ attendance - but then again it was a tuesday night. Oh how I long for saturday games.

And like Junior said in another thread, even though I'm not shy or anything, I still haven't got round to joining you lot behind the goal. We'll meet soon.

Plus, anyone know if my soap dispensers have been installed in the toilet blocks yet? Every time you wash your hands in there, you can think of me!

The crowd was ok. It is a long way for Dartford fans to come and not only was it mid week but the week before a bank holiday.

We only had 40 more for a Saturday game against a local rival.

I am also disappointed with the decision to play Waltham Forest on a Friday evening. Fridays are reserved for the pub - end of week and all that. Football is for Saturdays and if Saturday is not available, as in this case, then go for Sunday!

An ok game is not enough in this league unfortunately. One mistake is all it takes to lose a game at this level and if we continue to lack pace at the back we will be punished again and again.

I think Dartford deserve more credit than people realise. They came with a plan, stuck to it and got their reward. It might not have been pretty to watch at times but sometimes teams have to play that way to get a result.

While Town had the majority of possession how many real chances did we create? Dartford restricted us to long range efforts for the most part - I don't remember many shots taking place inside the box. Our crossing also needs to improve if we are going to score goals. How many times has a cross ended up going straight to the 'keeper already this season?

Dartford defended very high up the pitch on Tuesday night and I'm surprised Town didn't try and take advantage of this fact. On a few occaisons an early ball over the top may well have broken the off-side trap but it was not to be. Let's hope our FA Cup campaign gets off to a good start.
