A good week for singles...

I have

I''ve nothing against them, I'm waiting for them to mature and write classic material. I've heard enough clever clever political indie bands to last me a lifetime, I know your mates with them so I won't be too harsh, but it's fair too say they need to move on from where they are- 106. in the album charts tells it's own story.

Substitute the word political for topical then. You know what I mean. And of course chart positions aren't a total indicator of what's good and what's not, but they have had plenty of hype and airplay- I think it's fair to say that they are an acquired taste, although the album cover is superb.

That's it for my anti-Art brut ranting- I'm gonna move onto the Rakes now.

Well, I have something to tell you............

Actually, I think I saw the Rakes on New Years Eve or was it the Rocks ? No idea actually as I was fkd.

I'm only going to one more gig and one DVD recording this year, and I'm actually well looking forward to them both.

(Thornsy - will they lock the doors at the DVD recording ?)

The Rakes were New Years Eve when we first arrived.

You not doing the Jims school carling academy thing then or Art Brut's ULU show, what about Nick Cave tonight?

Why only the two more gigs? I don't understand?

And for the record if it was an Art brut gig or an England game clashing I'd be at the game!

I don't think you are in any position to be talking about missing birthdays

And you're forgetting I was at Part of Pete's birthday I then went to another birthday whereas another of his mates chose to have a curry with a group of Hornchurch fans

I think the album charts are a relatively good yardstick for what's good or not.

And the Stands have sold shedloads more albums than Art Brut!!

I had to pull out of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds tonight - despite the fact that I picked up the tickets on Tuesday and it meant it took me ages to get home. Joe managed to get his brother to take my ticket so worked out well in the end.

I'd already promised to play snooker so don't want to let them down.

Crazy Frog album went Top 10 and the biggest selling albums last year were things like Coldplay, Marron 5 and Usher
