Match Correspondant For Radio Show Required

The club has been approached by Wycombe Hospital Broadcasting Association with regard to a sports programme they are running throughout the football season. They are keen to do a round up of the local non-league scene and would like to get someone at Slough involved to do half time and full time match updates from Saturday matches. This can either be a phone call with scorers and some match detail, or just a text message.

 

Would anyone be interested in taking this on? Obviously it would be good for the club (every bit of promotion helps!) to get regular mentions on the show and the more detail they can let us have about our match the better.

 

Could anyone who would be interested in taking this on let me know and I will pass on the details of the gent who put it to us.

I e-mailed Star about our walk to Worthing and heard absolutely bu**er all. Was extremely disappointed.

I know one of the news correspondants emailed Roy after reading the story in the Observer a few weeks back about the new company and potential of a new ground, but I don't think anything came of that either.

I used to do it for Star FM many years ago before i went to uni, as work experience for Radio Journalism- unfortunately all my mates there have left- but Star need to see that its beneficial to them before they do ANYTHING...

They're better now that the owning company changed, more focus on Slough rather than places outside of their coverage area. Seem to remember them always covering Basingstoke Ice Hockey and not even mentioning the Jets.

I remember the days when Star FM gave the details of Langney Sports games for 3 months until someone pointed out the team were based in Sussex and not on the outskirts of Slough.
