Tonights game at Folkstone...

Can't say I'm that surprised. Folkestone's ground is not the greatest.

Although we had the best chance I can't help but feel we may be better off playing it again. Those conditions were a big equaliser and it felt like one of those games where the ball would bobble away from a defender or skid past the keeper, and no way to say which side it would go against. Hopefully the next time we play them will be a nice, rainless, and bright day. If it's an evening game... bring a torch...or 50p for the electric meter.

If anybody is interested the team lined up as for the second half on Saturday, with Game at RB and Thomas in midfield. Gary Henty was on the bench and is fit to play, but having missed a lot of pre-season probably won't be starting matches for a little while. Nathan is having the cast taken off this week and should be available on Saturday.

 

Don't know what Folkestone got up to over the summer, but it doesn't appear that Floodlight maintenance was particularly high on the list <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Their communication with supporters left a bit to be desired as well.

Forgot to mention: The new away kit (all white) looked very smart. Kudos to Dorms for getting his the muddiest! Will it be available in the Town shop? (Replica kit, not Dorms' muddy shirt...)

Suppose it could have been worse..Jeez, imagine the scenario if we were 3-0 up at the time of failure..Still, scant consolation for those who travelled.
