Wingate & Finchley v Enfield Town - 3rd Sep

Anybody know if the kick-off time for this game is likely to change? Wales v England kicks-off at 3pm on this day and I've noticed that both Arlesey and Great Wakering have moved their games to a 1pm kick-off. According to the Southern League website Wingate & Finchley have not moved the kick-off time for our game as it stands. To be honest I am a bit surprised as I imagine the attendance will be severely affected by a clash with the England fixture.

Whats happening with this game?

Has our fixtures secretary informed Wingate & Finchley that they will lose hudreds of pounds through the turnstiles and in the bar after,if they stick to a 3.00pm kick-off

1.00pm would be the best option.

I believe so. Also, I contacted the W&F webmaster on another matter and raised the points you mentioned at the same time. He seemed to think both clubs wanted an early k.o. when I first got in touch but has been strangely quiet since I e-mailed him for an update. I did indeed point out that showing the international in the bar after our game would increase bar takings and also that some people just won't turn up to see non-League football when two of the home nations are playing a competitive fixture at the same time. I expect he has passed on my comments and got no reply.

The only time Saturday that would inconvience me would be evening but even then I would watch the Town instead of turning up at a presentation evening to get a trophy. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />
