Velli Hakki still holding down a first team place at Carshalton - can we assume from this he's regained his old form and if so, in hindsight, was it a good move to let him go?.

 

Perhaps a Carshalton supporter reading this forum could enlighten us on how he's playing?

 

And no surprise that Mark Nichols was sent off on Saturday in Uxbridge's defeat against Wivenhoe (he also missed a penalty)lol.

I think it was the right decision to let him go given as he was rumoured to be one of the biggest earners at the club, and given the wage cuts, don't think he would have hung around anyway.

 

As for him holding down a place in a higher division, many players have gone on to do that after leaving us - Junior Kadi at Lewes (certainly whilst they were topping the Ryman 1 South) who looked awful for us, Adrian Browne managed it at Hayes last season, Lee Riddell went and played at Farnborough for a while. It's not always the case that they are better than what we have here, just because they're playing well at a higher club.

I think it is a reall shame that three games in Uxbrdige are without a point. Their stamping thug has until today to respond to his FA Charge so hopefully we will know of the outcome in the next few days
