Just spotted that a player called Buglione scored for Great Wakering last week.

 

Could this be Ex-Enfield Fc's Martin Buglione.He was a prolific scorer for EFC's reserves in our 1986 Gola(Conference) winning season.Last seen playing for Margate about 5 years ago.

I didn't mean to suggesting that he hasn't played in the last 5 years.Just that, the last time i spotted his name,was 5 years ago playing for margate.

So he was playing for EFC 19 years ago.Either he was very young then,or he's very old now.

i think richmond is only there for a month on loan from thurrock.

 

buglione is about 36/37 i think but that is through the grapevine and i have no evidence to back this up!!

Loaned out to Great Wakering for a month.That loan spell coincides with Great Wakering playing Enfield Town.What a suprise!

Arky, your sense of humour verges on the impenetrable sometimes.

 

Martin Buglione played for the Es in the mid-1980s, scoring a memorable goal at Bath in a Thursday night fixture two days after we'd won the league in 1986. His career then took him to places as diverse as Sittingbourne, Margate, St Johnstone (yes!) and Thurrock. Seem to remember his dad was an all-round pleasant chap.

I remember him making the odd appearence,mainly as sub.I think it was unforunate for him,that his time at EFC coincided with us having one of the best non-league sides of all time.Chances were obviously limited.I do remember he knocked in about 40 goals a season for the reserves during his time at Enfield.I've seen him play for a few clubs throughout the years, and he's always looked like a natural goalscorer.

Somewhere in that history didn't Martin also play for Hampton & Richmond Borough? I seem to recall he was in one of their sides that either EFC or ETFC played in a Middx. Cup match of some sort.
