On RK he said he didn't care what people said on websites.

Heard that too but I'm pretty certain Andy Ford used to read this Board and I'm sure Liam is no different. What Manager wouldn't read their own Club forum? To be fair, some of the comments aimed at him were somewhat harsh (not that I made any anti-Daish remarks).

The fact he played Andy Drury given everything written on here and the local press suggests to me he doesn't mind swallowing his pride if it means getting 3 points. Thats a sign of a good manager and he deserves some credit for that.

Listening to it on the radio today, it sounded a much better "team" performance, with the opposition being closed down quickly by GNFC. What did people that went to the game think of the overall performance?

Thing is, Canvey weren't a very good team in my opinion and will probably be finishing near the bottom of the table. Therefore I think it would be stupid to say that we're definitely going to be ok now. The test will be in the coming weeks against Cambridge and Woking. Personally I think we might struggle against them because they're better teams.

but if we doo judge him (its up 2 the manager) we should judge how good he is over a period of time, but if he keeps having ups & downs, well hes a bit too inconsistent. Just wait until everything settles down, after all, its only the 3rd match this season...

IF you read this mr. daish, hello, slightly drunk, but have never made a bad comment against you, shame i couldn't get there today , my other sporting commintments count, but well done on a good results and i had a lager or two after seeing our results, here is to some of the very very very pessimistic fans, we beat canvey, woo hoo, to be fair i would rather 3 points over dartford, after all that if how i have been brought up by my dad. COME ON YOU REDS/GOLDS

Just as people said we are wrong to judge him after 1 heavy defeat,
it would also be wrong to judge him after 1 victory.

After all, it was 'only' Canvey!

What do you mean, FF - Daish is the world's best ever manager after yesterday's win, just as he was the world's worst after Tuesday!

In all seriousness, while today's result was reassuring, it would of course be foolish to say that everything will be hunky dory from now on. Nonetheless, there were some positive signs on show yesterday.

Think the fact it was the 3rd different defence in our 3rd game led to uncertainties at the back early on. Although Smith, McCarthy and Skins had played together against Exeter, Proths hadnt been involved, and of course, they would all have been unsure as to the keeper initially.

There generally seemed to be better understanding as the game wore on.

Sorry don't understand half of that about Mrs Miggins or whatever Lol

Seriously though, think about. Remember when we had the terrible start before and everyone called for Fords head. Results started to improve after that little bit of pressure because he realized that the performances weren't acceptable to most fans. Now, the same might happen after Daish has been under some pressure.
