I see Dave McGhee has been transfer listed,I wonder who will be next!Lets hope it isnt Mario, he hasnt been included in the squad again!

Dont know mate, I realy do wonder what the heck is going on in that dressing room at times! clash of personalities perhaps but I must say there are others that I would have put ahead of him.

Im dissapointed that he's been put on there. A very good defender or could do a decent job in midfield. Im a bit suprised he hasnt started the season. A decent player lost when he goes.

 

As ya say lets hope mario isnt next

I was one of the people who saw him as a potential captain but the worry always was would he play.

 

We have 4 good defenders (Bunce,Sterling,Ward,Conroy) waiting for their chance, obviously the club felt McGhee wouldn`t get infront of any of those. My worry is the cover for central midfield if Sedgemore gets injured/suspended, yes we have Mario to come in (i doubt he will go) but i don`t see him as a midfield ball-winner, McGhee played that role well a couple of times last season.

 

If McGhee doesn`t go by the end of the month he will be here until january, things could change inbetween.

Strange to see him go on the list so soon although Jeff did say he would be letting players go. Thought Jeff would have waited a little longer for the defence to settle down. Our defence has always been a bit of a problem and felt we had some real depth this season.

 

McGhee was a good player IMHO but also suffered last year from the one day your playing the next you ain't.

 

He was fairly solid and was pretty good at pushing forward and moving into midfield. Still remember a one on one tackle at Scarborough last year, cool, calm and collective.

Totally agree Ronin.

 

Not wishing anything on Sedgemore but if he ever got an injury half as bad as David Lee's we wouldn't have anyone in that role to cover him over time since Dobbo left.

 

Mario and Minton are really attacking minded players. After Sedgemore we don't really have anyone to fill that gap. I thought that would be McGhee's role this season.

 

Granted he hasn't played yet this season, because Sedgemore hasn't really put a foot wrong yet. But I honestly thought he'd get his chance.

I think if pushed Bimson could play in midfield but I'm a bit dissapointed that Mcghee is on the transfer list. Has always impressed me when ever he has played.

Mad Dog is a great player, I'm really disappointed we aren't including him in the match day plans. If he does go (hopefully this will be resolved) then I wish him all the best and he'll always be welcome back at the Lane.
