I am a Margate fan and have been browsing these forums to find out about our rivals this season. It seems Fisher and AFC Wimbledon are going to be battling it out for the title. So i wondered: what are your aspirations for the coming season? Survival? Mid-table mediocrity? Or perhaps promotion? Any feedback would be welcome. Many thanks, Mike

funny you should mention that since thats our topic of debate for the fans piece in the programme for our first home game!

Personally... I think we shouold aim for a good cup run season and finshing upper middle, with the focus on maintaining a decent level of football whilst trying to secure a more long term future....but should you want others points of view I'm sure many will care to offer them... or you could coem to the first home game and read the programme of course?!

Well, it's very tempting but it's margate's first game back at home after 3 years in the wilderness...and i'm afraid i wouldn't miss it for the world! Hopefully, i will be able to make the trek to Slough when margate visit town. By the way, what is your home and away support like?

just staying at this level is the priority, anything else is a bonus

Home support minus cup attendances was around 320 last season, with the away numbers varying between 60 and 200 depending on the location and nature of the game.

 

Agree with Grimlock, let's consolidate at this level for the time being, get ourselves sorted and then look at pushing on up.
