…Right seeing as Slough have a checklist for Saturday thought it might be wise to do one ourselves.

1) Check blue shirt still fits (mainly applicable to our younger fans) - But could be necessary also for some others!!

2) Have exact coinage for entrance - this enables a quicker entry to the bar

3) Have exact coinage for programme - same applies to bar entry

4) Have appropriate footwear on - remember it is a football match and not a beach anymore !!

5) Have sunglasses just in case we get some decent weather - But not those silly "Kiss me Quick hats" - Remember it is now footie season and not summer hols anymore.

6) Have your order ready by the time you are 20 feet from the burger bar otherwise you could end up at the back again (Exact coinage is essential)

7) Have the time to say hello to all the folk you have not seen for 3 months - You will have hundreds of friends before you know it!!

8) Phone a friend to come along - It will rain tomorrow so what else would they do!!

9) Have the sense not to stand near Simon when ref blows against us!! -

10) - Finally - Enjoy !! - First game of season -

****BREAKING NEWS******

Basildon Zoo has just announced that one of it's Baboons is missing. A Baboon, known only as Terry, escaped late last night. Terry was last seen wearing a balaclava and muttering the words 'Slough scum'. The Baboon Police have said Terry could be heading towards New Lodge and have urged Slough fans not to approach him.

...The Canterbury Deacon Reverend Times reports one of their Canons has gone missing….A spokesman for the Archbishop of Canterbury blamed in on "something to do with Baboons and Slough" - He went on to say "A canon cannot be easily replaced as it takes years of specialised training and we urge members of our parish to be on their lookout" - The police are following the "links" between Slough/Billericay for further clues after a tip off..The police are also interested in some leads they have towards baboons which could also be associated with the missing "canon".

Sgt. Primate of the baboon police has been reported to say that Terry the Baboon was last seen raiding a butchers in Laindon, near Basildon of all their sausages. He said that this could be the continuance of a countrywide sausage war, started by Braintree earlier this year.

He asked people not to approach Terry unless they wanted an unwelcome sausage meat stuffing.
