Tonight's Gazette

Duke of York

Recommended Posts

It was a good centre spread in the Gazette tonight. Well worth the 30p! I can't put names to faces yet as a new supporter but I thought a few of the regulars on 'Not The ETFC' may be able to pass on the news to those featured in the pics.

Why is this place called 'Not the ETFC'?

It's a pity the freebies don't cover Town in as much detail as the Gazette. I'm sure if they did there would be even more new fans making there way to Goldsdown Road.

BTW - I don't work for the Gazette!

I too heard that the Gazette gave us excellent coverage. Excellent well done all concerned. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Not the ETFC was a great idea by a fan. Thankyou too! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Gazette's coverage is always good. Particular the Talk of the Town End bit. Worth the 30p on its own. LOL

THM

That bit was good when the previous chap was doing it, but since the new guy took over it's gone down hill. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Yes that was me but the were gloves -not mittens! I don't think you would get a northerner in mittens would you?

That was only my second Enfield Town game as I used to live in south London. The first game I got to was the game versus AFC Wimbledon at Cheshunt.

I should be bringing a few more York City fans down to the return ETFC v Enfield games this season as the mighty York won't be playing on either of the dates much to my relief!

It looked lonely being a York City Supporter Duchess. Why not toe he line and join the rest of the choir in the shed! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

I was in the Shed for the first half! I can't really join the Choir yet as a new supporter! I think the 'Greame Hall- King of the Geordies' is a great song - had to get a translation from one of the lads.

Can't get to Soham for the Cup. I will be at the Great Wakering Rovers game before making a swift exit - York City v Halifax is Live on Sky an hour after the game! See you there and I may get into the 'GH-KotG' song!

Thanks Junior. Moved to Enfield in February and I've been coming to Goldsdown Road whenever City are not playing down south. I decided to start following my local team as it was getting far too expensive and time-consuming heading up to York all the time. I can identify with Enfield Town and the supporters as we had our own 'Lazerou' style Chairman who nearly ruined our club.

As a matter of interest.

Duke of York asked if he could help in any way before the game on Tuesday.

He turned up and helped at the shop, asked if he could help during the week as he is currently between jobs, was introduced to the 'King of Groundsmen', exchanged telephone numbers with our own Eric the Paint king and this was all before the game.

Not bad for someone who has only just joined us.
