Its OK, I found it on the NorthwichVictoriaMad (aargh!!) site, and very interesting reading it makes too. 1893/4 they collected 9 points from 28 games in the English 2nd Division, and came last of course, while Liverpool came top with 48 points out of a possible 54.

 

If you're that bored you can look up Scarborough for me.

Scarborough are far more recent. They were booted out on the day the Goalie scored for Carlisle United, the year before last methinks. Ask our fixture secretary about it, he attended the game and has the T-shirt.

What 7 teams in the main feeder divisions (ryman, doc martins, unibond) used to be in the league as well (or as the conference team above have had a leauge club in that city, eg. Aldershot Town 1992 had Aldershot so that counts)

Newport County and Cambridge City (United) from the Doc Martens.

Wasn't there a team from Burton (Swifts?) at some point? Or am I imagining it?

You're right, I think you'll find there were two other teams from Burton about 1900 or before.
