'Disappointing' is the only word that really covers last night's game, I felt that yet again we played another possible mid table team, and we were left wanting. The midfield let themselves be overun, we lacked leadership on the pitch, It is a shame that no individual can show the same commitment on the pitch as Steve McKimm (not my favourite player, but what an influence!). Our defence were hung out to dry by a lively but unskilled foward line that worked hard.

But the good thing is that it's only the second game of the season, I had my doubts about Liam before the season started, but let's give the bloke at least until the beginning of November before asking for his head.

I agree - But also it may be too late - you cant put a timescale on these things. If you say November, what happens if we lose every game until then?! Too late!!

Have to give it a few games to look for improvements - but in the cold light of day he should be given a little more time - im sure Brian has a plan etc . . .

I hoping it is a repeat of the season where we started poorly, then had a 14 game unbeaten run!

One can but dream! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Agree to a point GNFC Superb , but the problem is , that when we have had bad results before , we have maybe been unlucky , or just a couple of perfomances away from turnign a game around.

Can anyone actually take anything positive out of last nights game in a footballing sense.

Ill go Canvey and Woking and on and on and on . But there will come a point where the money cost is more than the satisfaction gained from a game.

I can handle defeat but last night was appaling. It was without doubt the single most ridiculous perfomance I have ever seen by a club either at a game or on TV. Thats a lot of football.
