Drury has put in a transfer request

How do you think he feels? He loves to play football and enjoys it at Fleet. Can they resolve the problem? I think not, Liam has made it worse by deliberatley kicking him in the teeth by keeping him on the bench on 2 occasions now. 2 games which where lost, so I would say Liam didn't play a sqaud to win!!

Liam's record so far is pretty uninspiring, but it is too early to advocate a change. In our second season back in the Conference, if I recall correctly, we lost our first 4 games and were bottom, but we were able to get the team to gel and then went on an amazing run. Regarding Andy Drury there had been pre-season rumours that he might leave. Stevenage were said to be interested. So far we do not know what has been going on behind the scenes and no doubt there will be further developments and accusations and counter allegations as with previous players. So therefore we should not jump to conclusions just yet. However this wouldn't be the first time that a newish manager in attempting to establish who is the boss, has cut off his nose to spite his face and sacrificed a crowd favourite for his own ego/authority which he perceives has been undermined. What is needed is commonsence and clear heads to reach a compromise. Recent events - if true ( ie Lovell )- indicate that we will probably get neither.

Andy Drury has had a transfer request accepted by Daish. He put 2 in early in the summer but was rejected but Daish has been unhappy with his attitude since and wants rid.

I noticed a big difference in his attitude at the pre-season frendlies. Especially at Hastings where he seemed to walk off in disgust!

Well a good start would be to put Drury in central midfield,
playing just behind the front two.

I was thinking the same. What we've been lacking lately is the midfielders joining the attack. Bowry and Saunders together in the central berths are both probably defensive kind of players (despite Jays scoring record).

That's why Jay was always first choice 'stand-in' central defender last season.. You have to appreciate that when a player is following tactical orders from the manager, he will always hold position and leave the glory to the players expected to do the business..!! Our midfield need more flexibility to play attacking football moreover than defensive, when this happens, you will see a u-turn in results..(hopefully)..!

A Ha Ha.....

It's just a piece of piss isn't it ?......don't know why I didn't become a footie manager years ago instead of shoveling the metaphorical sh*t all these years. Good luck FF......hope you don't get anyone moaning at you when you lose two games !When you get there, lower the beer prices, there's a good chap !

Cheers,

Drury's transfer request just indicates what he thinks of Daish's managerial expertise

How could you not pick the most tallented player in the squad ?

OK so Drury is a bit sulky and big headed but most quality players are and the skill of a manager is to be able to handle all types of players.

Drury had served his "conference apprenticeship" and was now ready to become a big name.

I expect he already has a good number of clubs ready to sign him - good luck to the lad. tter off away from this shambles before he gets tarred with the same brush.

My prediction is that Daish will bomb him out without receiving a correct transefer fee and without clever sell-on clauses and he will go on to greater things at probably league level.

It's interesting then that in all the time he has been at the club, we have not had a single enquiry as to his availabilty. I don't think that there will be a particularly long queue now that he is available.
