Well if you think it exciting going into administration and fighting your way in the ESL then you have a very sad life, I would think most AFC Hornchurch fans would like them to be where we are now...................Oh well we can just tell you what its like.

correct, you have an established conference side. however my point is you support a team going nowhere but downwards. there is no chance of you ever going up, you have missed the boat. you had your chance and fcked it now your stuck in mid table. it will be interesting to see in 5 years where AFC Hx are in comparison to yourself. they have glory years ahead and you have dull ones.

The way you are speaking I pressume AFC Hornchurch have done better than that. I am in Dagenham and would of had a job if it weren't for the double glazing company going bust (sound familiar?)

Our first season as a professional team is upon us, four points out of the first two games with a pacey, mobile, team of comparative youngsters one of which attracted the attention of a championship club in the summer and two others that played for England at the end of last season, realistic playoff ambitions after only finishing seven points adrift last year . . .

 

It would indeed be interesting to compare both clubs in five years . . . by the way . . . what is below the Essex Senior League . . .

I remember The Daggers when they were a Corinthian League park team and all you've added since then is a couple of stands and turnstyles.

 

Problem is that you all have split personalities. You don't know whether you really want to be in Dagenham or Redbridge.

 

Someone has already taken the second part of your name so watch out that you don't lose the first part too.

 

You'll never go any further unless you can convince your neighbouring householders to allow you to put scaffolding up over their rooftops to allow you to add some extra seating and standing room.

You are partly correct in your first assertion, Lupercus . . .

 

I remember when the Pondfield Road end was just a grass mound and when there was just a single stand at the middle of one side of the pitch. Things have changed, however . . .

 

Both ends have concrete terracing, the Sieve (the covered terracing stretching the length of one side) no longer leaks water and the old stand was torn down to make way for seats that stretch the length of the pitch . . .

 

The ground has been league standard for some time, with a capacity of about six thousand.

 

The capacity is more than enough for our present requirements, averaging about 1400, and is, as I mentioned league standard.

 

Along way from the Corinthian days, although I am most impressed that you are aware of our heritage to such a degree.

and as for the commenct bout dagenham nice shooting outside the pub in upminster bridge, oooh and the big fight last week, oh and prob again tonight, its so much better than dagenham isnt it
