i think "cum on riccay" needs to grow up a bit..comments like "rod tight [****!!****] moore" arent exactly helpful and nor are they true i would suggest given that most of us would agree this is the best first team squad weve had for ages. hopefully its just a case of one lager shandy too many. its more than fair that people who pay their money to watch the games are entitled to comment on/criticise the team's performance but personal comments are out of order.

For the record, I don't think that Rod Moore has ben particularly tight with the purse strings and I don't think that either Gary Calder or George Borg would argue any different. Such is the transfer climate, the current management team has had the opportunity to purchase quality players for little or no money (e.g. Graham(s), Brennan, Essandoh, Fewings et al). I think that Cum on Riccay will also find that in order to keep players such as these at the club, there is a significant on going cost(wages/signing on fees/bonuses), buying a player is not as simple as the initial transfer fee.

 

Agreed, this is the best first team squad we have seen in years (possibly ever) BUT I do think that being that this is a forum, everybody has the right to express their views (even Cum on Riccay!) and there is no need to condemn a person for their opinion. Be honest, who is he offending by calling Mr Moore a tight [****!!****]?! Everyone has the right to an opinion, and to express it, however out there it may be and however, in this case inaccurate.

Shame really but as said, everyone has an opinion. It is a shame that the opinion isn't more positive!!!

I think there's ways and means - if COR thinks that the directors aren't spending as much as they should on the team then he's entitled to express that opinion, just as those people who disagree are allowed to put forward arguments as to why he is wrong, however resorting to childish namecalling is NOT the way to express opinions.
