We were absolute sh!te, 6-1. Not including their two disallowed goals or the retaken penalty.

An injured Holloway on for Kerr; a one on one foul in the box.

Caught square time after time after time and route one to Macdonald, Manny and Grant; who may as well not of turned up.

A lucky goal for MacDonald, which was a dropped ball by Bayes, their keeper.

No one stood out other than for their mistakes.

Off on my hols now, back for the Woking game.

Still, only two go down...

...us and Alty.

I ended up in the Home section, the Tannoy was working fine down that end! We hit the post in the first half! (just thought id throw that in) though the way we played it was like we couldnt get near the ball a few times and so we just chopped them down. Plus we even had a dodgy Linesman who kept calling offsides when the Grays players were level. But ho hum £6 to see a game werent bad.

Oh yes - a hot dog where the sausage doubled up as a rock,
all brown and burnt on the inside!
Upon taking it back, she looked blankly at me and said she couldn't see anything wrong with it!
Swearing followed, she slammed a refund on the counter (50p too much as well! ) and advised me not to come back again this season (not much chance of that, eh? ).

I then gave her the hot dog back by throwing it into the hut.

I know it's football ground food but surely there's a limit to what one can call acceptable?

All in all, a wretched visit into Essex.

Nothing to say tonight except it was a disgrace and an embarrassment and Daish needs to apologise to the fans that made that journey. The defence has no pace, they were making mistake after mistake (not impressed with J Smith, albeit after one game), and the midfield were constantly bypassed so the likes of Slatter couldn't get into the game. MacDonald was the only one that tried for me tonight, and there was nobody even interested in getting on the end of anything he created. It's not just losing, or losing 6-1 that hurts, it's the faricial way in which we do it, with goalkeepers sent off, defenders all over the place... like the McCluskey years all over again!

On a separate note, was impressed with what Grays had done to their ground - it was a hovel last time we were there but they've smartened it up as best they can in the small area... and their team isn't bad either. Great, now we're aspiring to be like Grays...

Not disloyal - SENSIBLE!

Each to their own I suppose, but not turning up to matches just cos your team is crap IS disloyal in my book. But as one who did renew his season ticket, maybe I'm just grouchy I have another 30-odd games like that to attend unless things get sorted.

I felt that last night we were missing that person that wears their heart on their sleeve (or something like that anyway). But then i realised only about five players do ( McCarthy saunders McKimm Jackson and protheroe for any of you that want to know)(Oh yes and prehaps Manny) and thats what the missing link is. We need to see more players diving in for tackles that are there to be won and lost. We don't need to see players that are playing just for money. Thats where Daish neeeds to seperate the good from the bad.

We lose two games against teams tipped for the play-offs and now people are tipping us for relegation.

My god...

A bit of an overly simplistic take on things, perhaps, but there is some truth in this. Most people on here seemed to feel that we matched Exeter in many departments on Saturday, yet one game later it's all change.

Yes, I know all too well that if we replicate yesterday's performance on a regular basis this season we are in big trouble. But it was only one game, so maybe we won't. Only time will tell, and if we are in similarly dire straits in a few games' time it may well be time for change in the managerial department. But not just yet.

As for Stu's comments, he's spot on - stopping seeing the Fleet because we're not playing very well can't really be seen as anything other than disloyal.

But the fact is - we were beaten 6-1! It's embarassing and shouldn't be something we say 'oh well' to. For it to happen this early in the season is taking the piss! And you can't allow it because they were 'the better team' because we should be striving to match the other teams in this league.
