Canvey

Ill go to canvey , and regardless of the result will carry on going to away games. There has to come a point when things will turn. Two more games tops with this level of incompetantce.

If come after the cambridge game we do not have 4 points on the table , then Mr Daish must do the honorable thing.

Get a manager who knows what grass is. Someone who can motivate. The bench looked dead last night after the first goal.

It reminded me of the Forst Green bench when we played them last August. No shouting,no motivation , nothing.

I am coming up from Cardiff for the game let hope i can bring some luck from wales...agree with previous comments 4 games in then we can see where we are going if we are rooted to the bottom then LD should go....mind you at that stage of a season who would be available or willing to take a job are there any decent managers out of a job at the moment can't see AP moving from welling

Indeed, it's not the player's fault, you can see they aren't happy.

An interesting point. It was mentioned to me on Saturday, by someone 'close to the Club' how much more relaxed the players were under Liam Daish compared to Andy Ford.

Perhaps they are too relaxed. Some of them were definitely second to the ball last night.

Thing is, you get one player or even one fan put a rumour about that a manager has 'lost' the dressing room and it sticks. I recall a rumour from an ex-player that Fordy didn't have the respect of any of his players, and then when there were bust-ups with, say, the likes of Shearer or Hatch, Ford was accused of lacking man-management skills.

Same now with Daish. As Matt Lovell has pointed out, he didn't see eye-to-eye with Daish, and neither does Drury by all accounts. Daish will likely get accused of the same things Ford was accused of when the fcat of the matter is all managers and players disagree at one time or another. I'm not defending Daish's position re: Drury or Lovell, just saying that it's very easy to label managers as having crap people skills when the truth is likely six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Havent seen either the Grays or Exeter games due to hols. Also missed the Charlton friendly.

One question for the fans on here, though - everyone was so positive after the Charlton game - how can 2 league games, no matter how poor, make such a massive difference? (If we were awful against Grays, how was the score still only 2-1 after an hour?)

2-1.. as if thats not bad enough. Letting Grays score 4 goals in the second half is pretty dismal. And besides, its the whole 90minutes that counts. Let's hope they can redeem themselves tomorrow

This, to me, sums up the whole matter perfectly. Having gone on holiday after the Charlton game and returned this week, I'd imagine one would be a little mystified in the sharp change in mentality evident on this forum over the last couple of weeks.
