Slough Refused ATFC Hopsitality - Taken From Arlesey Board

Well I needed a laugh. First time I think we have been labelled thugs. I think the likes of Maidenhead, Aylesbury and Hayes would have a good laugh at that

OK so we got upset with the referee, so does everyone. Blimey does the bloke go round with his ears closed at away games. Everyone has a go at ref's and I did not hear that much swearing at him, yes he got some stick, but that was all.

As for the hospitality, well lets see it's a cold Tuesday night and around one and a half hours to get home after a defeat. That mean's getting home about 11.00 and getting up for Work about 8.00am - what does he expect. Plus a lot of our players live further away than we do!

Soon forget we probably doubled their takings for a Tuesday night match!

That is me being bitter probably , but I thought we deserved to win. I can only think of their free kick as their only real shot of the match. Our problem is we have no Neville Roach to put the ball away in the six yard box and don't get enough shots on goal.

Chris, they had four clear chances in the game to our none excluding the free kick. I'm not quite sure how people think we deserved to win that game.

Possession doesn't equal goals otherwise we'd have won every game by a clear margin. We have to learn how to turn this possession into chances & goals.

I think we will have to agree to disagree.

From what I remember Blake made one save first half, whereas Winston shot wide early on for us. Gilkes saw his cloase range shot saved about on the half time whistle and Byron Bubb also saw a low long range shot saved. Yes we did not create may chances (which is worrying), but we were well on top.

Second half we had to defend as we only had ten men and did that very well, but apart from the goal I can't recall a serious shot and Spencer had the best chance of the half for us.

BTW I always throught Chris Sliski was a hooligan

Don't know who labled you thugs, but did not see anything only supporters who wanted to see their side win - nothing wrong with that.

As for doubling our mid week gate, it was one of our lowest - not due to your support, but ours. should have been close to 280.

As for not coming into the bar afterwards - yes it is a long way home and I don't blame supporters for going early BUT, one of the rules of the Ryman is that you must supply post match food for the players. If someone had said that you wanted to go early, we would have gladly given you the sandwiches and been happy.

As regard to the ref - you will always get a few you don't rate
