For those who do view and download, can you let me know what you think is an acceptable download file size for these movie clips? Faster Internet connections are more freely available and affordable these days, so if people are ok, I will look at improving the quality of the highlights pack on the site which would mean larger file sizes. Let me know what you think.

i dont even see the highlights on there, i can only see the files for brackley burnham and sycob

Like you say Gary, I think more and more people are ditching dial-up and getting broadband nowadays (we only upgraded fairly recently). If I'm being honest, I don't think the quality of that download is great. If that Maidenhead package is roughly 4MB, then I reckon something like 10-15MB would be good for broadband users. I guess you could produce two files, one large one suitable for broadband users and another smaller one, but that would be more work for you.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm currently looking at how to improve the quality of the movie without taking the file size over 8-10MB, as I'm not happy with the quality of the output that is displayed.

 

To create a low/med/high package shouldn't be too difficult, it's all done within the software and as soon as I find appropriate export settings, I can save them for future use and it's easy from then on, but it's just finding those settings!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

OK, I've made another which has replaced the existing one and is only 6.79MB, but the quality is quite a bit better IMO - you can actually make out what is going on!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

Now I've found the settings in the software, I'll continue to tweak so we'll have some good highlights from the Billeriay match hopefully.
