Margate Youth

I have a question from a Mum whose son is apparently rather keen on playing football. She wants to know at what age can you play for Margate FC in the youth squads and who should I contact about it? Any other info is appreciated re. playing for Margate.

 

She wouldnt have asked me had she not recognised me at the carnival.

I cannot answer your question, but this is the Club all over is it not.No info about anything ,nothing changes.Back in the eighties and nineties Margate Football Club had one of the best ,largest and well run Youth Sections there was.It was run independently of the main Club,who had not got a clue about anything about it.So no good asking them!!

Why respond to a perfectly reasonable request with this kind of idiotic twaddle, anonymous?

 

Take your biased view of the club, which is now well out of date, and irrelevant in the face of our resurgence, and place it where the sun don't shine.

 

James, why don't you phone Amma at he club? She can probably point you in the right direction. (Although I think you have been heading that way for quite some time now)

We can ask the club to give a contact number & name on the main site. It cant be that much of a problem to do surely. Lets leave the damn past behind us and get on with the future no matter how bad it may have looked to certain people.

No good keep raking over old ground when we now have a "new" ground for the future.

In the meantime,andin answer to the first posting, contact the club at the office or speak to KP direct as I am sure a contact name and number can be got from them in the meantime.

Agree that it should be there already but the club has had more pressing things to do of late and now thats nearly done they should update contacts concerning this a.s.a.p to encourage more youth into the club.

An E.mail concering a request for a contact number and name to be listed on the main site has just been forwarded. Until such time as it appears I too would advise you do as MF suggests.

I think this is something MISA could take up officially with the club. I think there should be a youth section on the website like other clubs.
