Firstly, I would like to say thank-you for all those who attended yesterday game at Southwood.

 

I was speaking to your president Gordon Wallis and Football secretary Ken Tomlinson prior to the game and they had nothing but special praise for the Margate Fans.

 

The loyalty the fans have shown towards the club is amazing and it’s great to see Margate, back playing at Hartsdown Park for the forthcoming season. I hope you have a great season and as I’m unavailable to go to burgess hills next week, I will be heading to Hartsdown Park.

Petit was wearing a Margate wristband on Saturday while warming up, we hurled abuse at him for it, he just laughed. He can keep it on if it brings goals and luck. Dont know if Jim saw it??

Just to confirm also that the gate was 401 and not 501 on Saturday. Sorry for the confusion, as I was pretty drunk when they told me on Saturday night!
