Exeter did the job - Hey thats football!

They came to get three points, they got them. Exeter City are better than us. I was speaking to some of their fans on Exeweb (Exeter City Forum) and they were saying we deserved a point.

 

When I say they're better than us they do the little things better than us, like for example they'll tug your shirt or give you a little knock to slow you down, when the ref isn't looking.

 

Danny Slatter got kicked all over the place today, why? Becuase he controlled the midfield play. And how nice was it to see players shooting from a distance, for or five shots almost going in from a long way out. This is very encouraging, they'll start flying in soon.

 

Things certinely are not as bad as people have been saying, lets raid Essex of six points and look to the future.

Agree that they do the little things better , but whay annoys me is that in this time fo pushing the non league game , the class of football has risen but the referees in my opinion are getting worse and worse. This isnt hepled by the assistant referees who in my opinion should be renamed back to linesman.

 

The clus is in the name. Assistant Referee is to assist the referee not take direction from him on what decision to take.

Went to Accrington yesterday and we certainly didn't deserve to lose, but that's football. Should be interesting next weekend.

Can I just concur that I thought you deserved more from the game. That said we did kill them game off when we needed to and also forced the game with 10 men. I think you will do better this season, better than I first thought on that showing.

 

The small band of idiots on the pitch are now having some real stick for spoiling the game. After bringing 650-700 we did not expect that to happen. In the meantime the club will take a tough stance, we are a community club afterall.

Nice one mate, and a very good turn out from your lot, that was an away support to be proud of, apart from the few idiots.

The best thing was that we won we travelled well. Part of the excitement was caused because we normally lose if we take more than 600 away! Our support at home should be over 3500 for the game Tuesday and next away game if we win should be as good.

 

If we carry on and have a good season we will take between 1500-2000 plus for the last few games. At home we would average 5,000 comfortably.

 

Anyway I will stop dreaming now!
