These are the official gates from yesterday.

Have to admit that I thought there were a lot more there than 226. I thought it was closer to 300.

Waltham Abbey 226

Burnham Ramblers 90

Bowers 84

Barkingside 72

Basildon 52

Sawbridgeworth 51

Eton Manor 30

London APSA 27

BTW - average attendances, highs & lows - are all contained now within the league table - There is a copy on our website - but also one in the ESL forum here. Just click on the last tab at the top of the table.

Generally these will get updated weekly on a Saturday night.

>>>I ve been thinking about that attendance yesterday and I reckon that there was at least 400 people in that ground...

I counted the crowd yesterday - I can only assume that I counted wrongly.

I did not count the grass snake, the five swans, nor the two otters (these were only present after the match).

There was definitely more than 226 - but as the crowd went in via a gate with no turnstyle, and as no tickets were issued at that gate, (at any rate, I was not given a ticket) the most likely answer is that they simply added up the takings and divided by five (admission was £5) - but of course they also had concession rates on the same gate (so five children equals £5 and one adult equals £5). Hence gate understated (though it would not have affected what was taken at the gate).

Difficult to say how many from HFC - one coach therefore at least fifty, plus at least fifty cars out of which Urchins got - there were at least 150 in the bar at half time.

Funny thing, 10 mins before full-time, when the Abbey crowd started singing "We can see you sneaking out"...I don't think they were Urchins supporters leaving.

Well, our lot had never seen 'em before. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />

Maybe they were Snottenham fans?
