I know which team I'D rather have. The only time Margate looked better than Ramsgate was in the pre game kickabout. Then of course they had no opposition. Also South wood is alot better than some of the grounds you will be vistiting this season and especially net season when relegated

Lets face it, it was a pre season friendly with Margate still experimenting with triallists. I don't think anybody at Margate is really upset that we let the highly prestgious KM Challenge trophy slip through our fingers. I know ramsgate were going to call it their treble if they won, so lets all stand up and congratulate them on a fine piece of footballing history. Ramsgate as ever were trying to prove a point, and apparently played well, which has already been mentioned on this Forum. As for the second comment who cares about the grounds we will be visiting this season. You lot still have an inferiority complex,get over it!!!!

Margate looked better than Ramsgate in the first half. I must admit the second was different but had 2 of our better trialists not been injured I think it may have been a different story. Anyway well done to the rams but to ramos, you've obviously come on here to annoy us. Dont even bother because as margateshot said, we were experimenting with trialists and the team obviously is new and unsettled. A settled mfc side would make your sunday footballers look dreadful. You hav'nt proved anything buddy.

Just because we do not pay our manager 30k who has got us relegated twice does not meen we are a sunday league club. Also you speek of his loyalty, would you not stay if you earned 30k part-time? Yes he is one of the best managers in non league football but i think one of the reason's he has stuck with you is for money. The amount he gets from this an being a school teacher i beleive would be more than being manager of Dagenham or another conference club. No insult intended but this is my veiw on the matter

FF,or can I just call you ucking twat.You come on this the MARGATE fourm about 100 times a day talking crap,before you post on here about CK,learn the truth and just remember one thing CK has been with us a long time,he has not left us to be with another club when times got hard,unlike some managers like yours at the moment,yes we have come down a few leagues in a couple of years BUT there is no way anyone can put the blame on CK,I just hope that when and if ramsgate get to promotion stage that your club dont go through what we have because if you do let me tell you now you won't have a club or JW.

You have a point cookie. FF, you need to look back through the posts and find the reasons why MFC was relegated. It was primarily due to off pitch reasons. Faling into administrations cost MFC 10 pts, which obviously Margate couldnt recoup. How could they be expected to? It was the tail end of the season. It was nigh on impossible.

 

The team cant be expected to have great hopes or motivation if there is no true home stadium. Im sure Dover and Ashford FCs have nice grounds and all, but its not the same as Hartsdown Park.

 

Before posting again please look up the real reasons for the two relegations of Margate. Dont look at it purely on on-pitch reasons.
