The Manor was involved in a scrappy affair in the opening game of the Essex Senior league against Hullbridge Sports. The Braves wearing their new home kit for the first time looked the better of the two sides and had most of the possession, however, wasn't threatening enough to steal all 3 points, instead could only muster a 0-0 draw.

 

Hullbridge looked well organized at the back and compared to last season when they finished bottom of the League were a much better outfit altogether.
