THANET Council is still waiting to receive detailed business plans from Margate for the redevelopment of Hartsdown Park.

The club announced on Wednesday that it will be moving out of administration by the end of September and that they will not be docked any points, despite starting their Ryman Premier League season in administration.

However, the council has to release land in order for the Hartsdown Park project to be completed and it says it will not release that land until an agreement that it is happy with has been reached.

Margate filed for protection from its creditors at the end of last season following two years away from its home ground, playing matches at Dover's Crabble Ground and Ashford's Homelands.

The administrators have applied for a Creditors Voluntary Arrangement to allow the club to continue.

Now a new pitch has been laid and Hartsdown Park is being painted and primed for kick-off against Malden Town on August 20, with a temporary stand put up.

An embargo on buying new players has also been lifted, meaning some new faces in the side for 2005/2006.

Club director Keith Piper said: "To be honest the process has been a very tough one. The commitment of the supporters is stunning."

*The official website said the business plan would not be submitted until before the end of September, so why do they say the council is STILL waiting to receive the plans? I notice no quotes from TDC in this story which makes me suspect this is just a bit of s**t-stirring by the writer.

Maybe not a direct attack I grant you but my point is that in another post James attacks a certain party for doing good whereas when it looks like another party has done the opposite he quickly gets off the subject, and then states that the club has more important issues to deal with. The second part of his statement is entirely correct, and so is getting people to come to our first football match and that is exactly what one of the parties has done. Good on them! If the OTHER party had done the same it would have and should have been accepted with gratitude also ..regardless of the name of that party.

The first part of the statement comes from KPs own words to us both after the plans were approved by Full Council. I was just re-iterating what I was told.

I think you're being a little harsh on me here cookie and putting me in the same catagory as SE simply because I said I was a Conservative. I never said he was right to imply that all MFC fans are thugs. I was simply saying that he was only refering to those who gave him trouble.

I thought this was old news. Lets leave it at that.

please try and stay on topic, if you really feel you need to talk about or make attacks at james cant you just bring the relevant topic to the top or start a new thred, rather than divert this one in to a topic no one has a clue about.

I am sorry that you dont have a clue Legend. The very fact that James's post above was in contrast to that in another topic, though simarlaly related, just bears true the avoidance of James's consistency towards both parties and I merely referred to the other post in another topic to prove my point.

If you were to have read the other post in another topic you would know the post that I refer to. Should that have been quoted on this topic then I surely would have been as guilty as you say I am in mixing the two.(though similarly related)

Im also sorry that you, James, havent a clue either in this instance.

Then we are at a stalemate. I too am fed up with it now. Time to move on. We have made our points I believe and so discussion of such should come to an end I feel. Glad you feel the same way.I felt it was relevant at the time however we will just have to agree to disagree.
