If you visit the Labour office at 44 Northdown Road(tax office end) you will see a rather large notice covering one whole window which refers to us and our first match home at HP. It would be nice if someone could pop round, have a look and take a photo and then hopefully display it on here for all others to see.The wording of the poster is exceptional.

If you are passing please take a look or better still photograph it for everyone to see, especially those fans living away.Sorry I dont have a camera!

Its Magic !!

Many thanks to the Labour Party. In particular Mr.Hart.Mrs.Johnson & Mr.Watkins who put it all together.

I can also tell you that the LABOUR PARTY are distributing 400 leaflets around to local business's with a similar message.

Political opportunism or what? I don't recall the Labour Party being so vocal when our future was hanging in the balance. In fact the silence (in public) was deafening.

I am talking about TODAY and what they have done in their office window TODAY is "MAGIC" and I for one am grateful to them on this occasion. Besides I have always been Labour anyway so it suits me but it also suits our football club and in this instance THATS what counts.Perhaps you should have read the bottom line on the poster BEFORE you make that comment JJ.

Come on now they are pushing the boat out on our behalf. Credit where credit is due and this was all done TODAY after a contact was made only last night!

Im very much biased here also having helped Roger Gale in the recent General Election and being a Conservative.

It does seem a little strange that Labour be extremely supportive right now. When in recent times have Margate had such passionate support from the Opposition parties? And before anyone says Im ignoring the Conservatives, they havent exactly been the greatest supporters of MFC either, that is with the exception of Michael Tomlinson and others who I may have missed.

The labout Party were approached by a couple of us on another, hopeful, publicity venture concerning the new season and our first game back home so it was US that contacted THEM. And as for that other matter they are also trying to help with that too so lets not get political with this. ANY publicity for the good of our club should be welcomed regardless of the source.

Does it matter. Our club comes FIRST surely. Publicity of any kind is what we are striving for and we dont really need remarks like yours to scupper it. Be joyous that we are getting the message across and that the club may well benefit from it.

I know this is right up your street James but just this once give it a rest please or else the other matters, for the good of the club could possibly be jeapardised..Please lets TRY and forget they are a political party in this instance and concentrate on the good of this footbal club.

This should not be turned into a political party braodcast.

You too should have read the bottom line of their poster before posting.(Not your fault I know)

Stop making more out of this than is nessasary.Mountains out of molehills springs to mind.

They want to be seen to be behind the club, thats all. We approached them first because they were in walking distance and we wanting a certain loan of an item. If this failed the Tory party were going to be asked. A toss of a coin it was really as to who to ask first. Maybe the Labour party ARE trying to make something of this but AGAIN look at the poster before coming to political conclusions.

No-one here is trying to take sides. The only side I am on at this moment is the clubs side and if anyone, whoever, for whatever reason does this club good then thats all that matters.

far as i remember she went door to door getting a signd petition against margate, i cant remember if it was against the rebuild or carpark or football club being there, she even held meetings held for local residents to note their concerns if im correct.

either way it boils down to the same old wonder if i can get a few votes here by doing this......
