I see <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bigshock.gif" alt="" /> that Lee Boylan is one of the BBC Non League Players to watch this season. Do you think he will be as good following his injury last season or have you got another star that may shine brighter this year ?

Lee will have a good season i feel but dont underestimate us this season

I don't think there are many clubs in the Conference National that recognise how good Lee is - especially in the North. Due to injury and lack of support he struggled a bit and didn't get as much of the recognition that he deserves.

 

As an Aldershot fan you will be well aware of his ability.

 

We also struggled last year to find someone to really compliment Lee - Junior Mcdougal and Lee just didn't seem to fit the bill. This year looks a lot better with Tait from Crawley - there leading striker last year and Ibe who already seems to have a good understanding with Lee.

 

Who knows - Lee may struggle to get in the squad - although I doubt it.

 

I seriously think we will suprise a few clubs this season and, although we haven't kicked a ball in anger yet, we will do ourselves justice and have learnt a lot from last season.

Boylan scored 17 goals last year, not bad for somebody who missed 2 and a half months of the season through injury.

 

Now we have another 2 decent strikers that can play along side him im sure he will score more this season (depending on injuries)

 

As ANON mentioned, if Tait and Ibe start hitting the back of the net, then lee could find him self not in the starting line up.
