Hey, how is everybody?

 

On the eve of a new season how will Fleet fair this time round? I've read some rather down-beat posts on here lately, which is all very worrying. Surely things aren't that bad. Are they?

 

Last weekend I travelled with almost 4,000 others, to Nottingham to see the Terriers play Forest. Big crowd, great atmosphere but sadly a 2-1 defeat. After the game we were all 'down' and thinking what along season it's going to be. But on Tuesday night all of that was forgotten after beating Bristol City 1-0 at 'The Pharm'. We now play newly promoted Swansea at home on Saturday full of optimism again at what should be another 'bigie'.

 

Football's a funny ole game, one minute you're in the pit of despair the next you're on top of the world. I've often wished I was pessimist, that way you've got less far to fall when it all goes pear-shaped, which it inevitably does sooner or latter. In truth, I wouldn't have it any other way; it must be the masochist in me!

 

So come on you reeeeeeeeeds lets get up for this new season and give Exeter a reet good hammering!

Well said BB, more power to you sir. Although personnally for every negetive thing I see, read or hear I get ten positives after talking with Liam, the players or the staff at the club.

This is from memory, as I read the paper this morning whilst on my paper round...:

 

Daish thinks as we're both promotion chasing rivals the match this week end it going to set of fireworks after our brilliant performance on Monday (can't disagree with the latter...). He also goes on to show how much confidence he has (by the sounds of it) in both himself and the team.

 

To be honest that's all really I can remember, I have a memory like a fish, but I do get the jusst of things.

 

It may be on www.gravesendreporter.co.uk or www.kentonline.co.uk somewhere but i really dont know. I'll have a look and get back to you.

UPDATE TO RAY...!

 

The Gravesend Reporter site hasn't been updated yet, and unfortunately doesnt look as if it's updated too regularly. When I looked a minute ago it still had a story about Ford on the quickjump section next to it! However The signings of Kerr and Holoway + Glozier are on so it looks hit and miss to whether it will be on there.

Kent Online also has nothing as of yet.

 

Maybe someone else could help <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> or i'll post more info when I actually buy the paper... lol

There won't be anything on Kent Online because that is the Messenger.

 

The Reporter site will always be behind the printed edition otherwise no one would buy the paper.

 

Please do not buy the paper and copy it out here,

 

one it's breach of copyright and two the Reporter are still club sponsors and we do not want to upset them.
