It was a good report on BBC SE. June doing her weeding of pitch, John speaking well & cookie with a walk on part at the end! Even Margateshot who had come down from Croydon with his son to help for the day was shown. Great stuff. Meridian not such a long report but as you say all good advertising & publicity for the club. Hope all those there for the day took some posters and will soon be shown in the shops around Margate etc!

What the report missed, however, were the really unsung heroes that work there every day of the week, not just the odd day or two like me.

I mean Tam, Melvin, Blueblood, Ron, Misa Dave, Megaphone, and apologies if I have missed any other one of them out of the list. True heroes of the club, put my efforts to shame. Good on them.

These guys should have a photo taken on Saturday too, lest any of us forget. They have worked their rocks off.

Thats very true June. But they DO obviously have the time to do it unlike others but yes, those that you mention have done a sterling job,lots mainly to do with the inside of the clubhouse and bar ready for MISA to attract people. Thats a good thing too as it helps the club in the long run. Melvin must take a big mention as he has worked tirelessly both outside the clubhouse and inside.He has,in my opinion been the real unsung hero out of all of those that have managed to get some kind of work in up there.He never seeks the credit for his efforts when in fact he deserves it most though having said that EVERYONE who has been up there to help out deserves praise.Again a smashing TEAM EFFORT!
